This portrait was inspired by a random girl I discovered on Threads. Something about her look immediately felt energetic and expressive, so I decided to reinterpret her in a much brighter and more chaotic visual style.

I reimagined the character in my own way while keeping the original mood and key details from the artist’s design.

For me, DTIYS challenges are not about copying - they’re about interpretation, experimenting with color, light, and atmosphere, and seeing how the same idea can transform through a different artistic lens. This piece was especially interesting because it pushed me to work more with lighting, textures, and emotional focus.

Pinterest Controls My Art

This artwork was created as part of the Pinterest Controls My Art challenge.

For this piece, I used the first five images suggested to me by Pinterest and combined them into a single illustration. Each reference determined a specific element of the artwork: – the portrait, – the texture, – the color palette, – an additional attribute, – and the background.

I didn’t change the concept to fit my own initial idea. Instead, I challenged myself to adapt my style to Pinterest’s choices and organically connect all five elements into one cohesive visual story.

This process reminded me that letting go of full control can lead to unexpected and inspiring results.

This illustration was created as a free artwork for the winner of my art giveaway. The piece features her original character, reimagined in my personal style with full rendering and a focus on mood, light, and texture.

For this artwork, I aimed to preserve the character’s personality while adapting it to my visual language — soft yet expressive facial features, warm skin tones, and a slightly cinematic atmosphere. The fur headpiece became an important accent, adding a sense of wildness and strength to the character, while contrasting with the calm, intimate pose. Art for - @caproptera
