I used a warm soft light from a large softbox to capture sort of a beach vibe. I used sand paper for the background and mixed sea shells as my object i was capturing so i can have multiple colours in my photograph. I used an aperture of f.8, 1/125 shutter speed and ISO 100 on my camera and used a light meter to find the same aperture measure to then take the photograph using the cable connected from the softbox to my camera.
I think my images are in the mid-key area as its not too bright or too dark.
I think to improve this I would bring in another backdrop and use actual sand to get more texture in my photographs and use a tripod to capture the photographs in one angle throughout.
For next time, I will think more into my planning of what to do and lay it out before I go into the studio so I will get a rough idea of what I’m getting myself into.
