sona london heer gold anklet , one way meena stays in touch with her family's punjabi sikh heritage is through jewellery, and the thing she wears the most is this anklet, which is gold-plated and consists of a rope chain and a plain chain. it's simple and dainty, but able to be worn with everything, so she loves it.
jamful dodger vape liquid , as a vampire, meena doesn't eat. but she sort of misses food, so when she picked up vaping as a habit for her work breaks, meena made a point to order a variety of fun flavours for herself, including this one, which is modelled after a classic british biscuit.

found on her travels through asia and when nila is not at work, they're wearing them. it's a small piece that reminds them of home , no matter how bittersweet those memories are.
02. sports bag.
due to her work , nila now has several sports bag in her rotation. half of it is filled with work out clothes and the other half is a mix of books , granola bar wrappers and lipgloss.
03. block heels.
nila just likes the way they look. if they thought about it , maybe the reason the heels appeal to them is because she lived barefoot for her entire childhood in the family.
04. books.
nila always keeps part of her hoard in her bag , usually consisting of her currently reading pile. it makes her happy to see the spines and covers whenever she preps for a training session , or packing their bag in the morning.
05. charm bracelet.
perhaps the most sentimental thing in nila's wardrobe. it was made by her first love and even though it's been over for quite some time they still wear it every day. it's handmade with protection charms in the beads. it's the best gift nila's ever gotten.
06. silk bow.
it's an easy , but cute , accessory to pull her hair back from her face. nila has a big collection , enough to match the bow to her outfit that day.

elsa peretti gold snake necklace , ridiculously expensive & made of 18K gold, this is perdita's favourite statement piece, something that feels glamourous and reminds both herself and those around her of her gorgon status. while she feels a little disconnected from the legends of women who can turn people to stone with one look, the snake around her neck symbolises her power that has overcome so much adversity.
femmes fleurs emotion by novaya zarya , perdita owns many perfumes and prefers the use of fragrance over clothing as a form of self-expression. this one, however, is her absolute favourite, with notes of black pepper, mountain air, peony, freesia, rose, violet, leather and musk. it's a mixture of the musky and the floral that suits her very well, but with a nostalgic hint of the mountains that invoke warm childhood memories.
limestone , perdita found this particular limestone rock by the mountains when she lived in mexico, and it's been with her ever since. the rock has taken a place within her pocket, is often gripped for a sense of comfort. and um, it's a rock. it's essential.
eone bradley gold mesh watch , it feels so classy to use and own a watch, and perdita is awfully fond of hers, which is tangible and was designed specifically for visually impaired users. what she really appreciates about it is that it feels actually stylish, much more lovely than a digital or talking watch would be.
gh bass penny loafers , made of a soft leather, this is perdita's favoured pair of everyday shoes. they're well-worn and comfortable, but still manage to look smart while she's working on her art.

01. how many languages does your character speak ?
kanda's primary language is thai and since arriving to portum she's begun to pick up both english and irish. she does use a charm from potion & pentacle to be able understand and speak with everyone around them.
02. how does your character express anger ?
in a way it's like the way her eleven year old self would express it. their growth and development stopped for a long time , and it's still struggling to catch up. their anger is muted but where they grew up she was also expected to behave properly , so any anger she had was usually pushed down. after being alone for so long that part of her is definitely more open and not as regulated.
03. what is your character's home like ? ( do they like it ? where would they live if they could ? )
kanda has a room in calahan and liam's house. she's lived there since they arrived in portum and it's a cosy , dark bedroom with clothes thrown everywhere and looking more like a teenager's hideout than a grown adult's space of rest. that's the only part they consider theirs in the house they live in.
04. how does your character handle conflict ?
in a simple explanation ; they don't. kanda doesn't handle it well at all. their expression it's irrational and childish and almost petulant at times. she has trouble regulating her emotions in tense situations and is very candid about them instead of trying to process them before reacting.
05. how does your character display affection ?
any emotion is hard for kanda to display , but affection feels like one of the tougher ones. so much of her earlier life got left behind after the fire and with it any sense of affection she'd ever felt. with cal they keep close and make sure that he's safe. with people they have some care for she's ... trying. trying to show that they do care and trying to make an effort to open her heart to them.

01. when did you character first notice their powers / differences ?
it started off as whispers in the back of their mind , telling her of an end they couldn't stop. she was five years old , talking to a voice only she could hear. they couldn't cope back then and it wasn't until years later that they realised that the voice they had heard was their own , only a much older one.
02. how does your character feel about their abilities / species ?
in all honesty kanda is scared of them. her abilities ended up with her family dying and her without a home. but even before that it just made them sound crazy. so , now that she's older they try to keep to themselves , keep their distance from crowds to minimise the risk of her hearing the voices again.
03. what stereotypical traits of their species does your character show ? are there any ways in which they subvert them ?
in a way kanda looks like a manifestation of what a stereotypical banshee should look like. they are dressed in dark clothing and have a moody outlook on life. other than that they do not express any typical things of what being a banshee entails. she doesn't feel any connection with her being a banshee and would prefer to keep it at arms length.
04. what's your muse's favorite ability / the one they use the most ? why ?
as much as kanda hates what being a banshee brought her , there are certain , small things that make their life easier. the most appreciated little ability is that she's immune to the cold weather , which makes it easier for her to roam around portum when they need space to themself.
05. what is your character's reason for being guided to portum ?
kanda , in her heart of hearts , believes that calahan was the reason that they found portum. they were surviving purely on instinct before and once she met him she knew that they had to stay with him.
sam has been working on a partnership between himself and build-a-ghoul where he creates custom one-of-a-kind ghouls, clothes, and accessories for portum residents to purchase. sam uses the proceeds he receives after supplies to donate back to different establishments in portum.
