The Power Of Positive Coaching
Positivity gives us hope.
Even in the hardest of times, a positive attitude from someone ignites a ray of hope. You would have heard, ‘Positive adds more positivity. When your vibrations are positive, your experiences are healthy and in turn, you attract positive energies.
When a person seeks coaching, they are looking to unlock their potential and maximise performance.
As a coach, you must be self-aware of yourself.
In our self-awareness, we all have “personal blindspots.” An onion of self-awareness has many layers. The first layer is the awareness of our thoughts, and the second layer is the willingness to inquire why we experience those emotions, and our personal beliefs are the third layer.
POSITIVE COACHING MINDSET AND HABITS
Intuition and self-awareness is the magic potion for a positive coaching mindset. To have a positive coaching approach, you must first have self-knowledge. You must:
Know your thoughts - You can enhance your coaching game by understanding, controlling and changing your thoughts.
Know your purpose - As a coach, you must be aware of your surroundings and they will give you the purpose. You just have to be open, aware, and focus on your surroundings. When you are aware of your surroundings, purpose follows you through.
Know your values - A coach can help clients look at their blind spots, by questioning them after understanding their situation and values. A coach working with a value system, helps clients motivate and uncover resistances.
Know your emotions - Before understanding your client’s emotions, as a coach, you must be willing to work on your own.
A self-aware coach explains expectations, asks questions, measures results diligently and appreciates clients and teammates. As an inspiring coach, a positive coaching formula helps in conquering results.
