"eyes on me" - Mike Wheeler
with all the implications and signs that vecna is going to target him... with all the stalking imagery... maybe eyes are already on Mike.
the insane amount of eye imagery used with his character since season 1, but most evidently in seasons 4 and 5... the stalker shots (that are used with Holly before we find out that Max is the one watching her) used throughout the show for Mike... the scene when Max's nose bleeds and it focuses on Mike for a bit... the mindflayer using its claw in season 3 to reach out to Mike, just like Vecna's hand... the scar on Mike's face in season 3 being a parallel to Fred... Mr Whatsit knowing that Holly likes grapes and Berries when there's a scene of Mike asking Holly "do you like grapes, Holly?", the mindflayer ONLY RECOGNIZING MIKE IN SEASON 2?????
but also the weird behavior of Mike from season 3 to 5? it's obviously because he was going through a rough time with self acceptance and shit, but idk. we know Mike Wheeler is left handed for example, and wears his watch on his right hand. this season he wore it on his left. it's little things like that that they're telling us to look out for in Mike, they're blatantly telling us to keep our eyes on him. I think it's them saying "hey... don't forget about Mike!! use this time between the two volumes to analyze Mike in this season as well as previous seasons."
Idk. A sort of Coriolanus Snow parallel?? He hates Katniss because she reminds him of Lucy Gray. Vecna hates and is targeting Mike because he reminds him of Patty (with all the parallels of Patty to Mike, as well.)
another thing, the white rabbit (Mike) has to find Alice (Holly) before Alice finds the Cheshire Cat (Vecna). Mike has to be in a state similar to Max in order to reach Holly.
I'm telling you guys, Mike Wheeler is going to play a big role in volume 2.
