1. What was my inspiration for this fic? How did it come to me?

This one came from watching a lot of supernatural, and reading the ghost hunters zarry au–i forget what it’s called but it’s really good! But it has an offhand mention of Zayn showering a lot after being possessed, and that line struck me. There’d been a lot of discussion at that time in the Supernatural fandom about possession as a sort of rape and definitely trauma, so I sort of took that line and ran with it–what was the aftermath of the trauma of possession? How would that be handled? What would it look like? And thus the idea for that fic was born.

Zayn doesn’t get angry, for months after it happens. Or he does get angry, but every time Harry can see his temper sparking, he hesitates, pulls it back like he’s afraid of it--because he is. Because she’d been so angry, all the time, and every time he’s angry he’s terrified she’s back.

1. What was my inspiration for this fic? How did it come to me?

This fic came to me in one line of the ghosthunters Zarry au, which is awesome and everyone should read it. But there's one line in that fic that mentions how Zayn can't stop showering after he was possessed. And I've watched a lot of Supernatural, and in the fandom there's a lot of discussion of possession-as-rape. So I sort of took that line and ran with it.

2. What’s my favorite part of the fic?

I like Sam and Dean's cameo. I never wrote (and I don't think I'll ever write) for Supernatural, but it was fun to write them!

12. Did any thing about this fic’s reception surprise me?

I'm surprised it's getting so many questions now!

But actually, I was surprised I didn't get more kickback about the rape analogy, and how I handled it. There was a little undertone I didn't love in it about sex fixing rape, though I wanted it to be Zayn taking control of his body again. But I'm surprised more people didn't seem to react to that.

14. If I were to write a sequel to this fic, what would it be about?

Oh god, I have no idea. Um, probably something more about Zayn continuing to recover, and Harry trying to figure out if Zayn's just with him because he's a willing warm body or because it really does mean something to him. Alternatively, they could go find Sam and Dean and learn how to be hunters. Could go either way, really.
