Halsin is like, in his 30's.
That's it.
He isn't an old, wizened ArchDruid, he's a young wood elf that got a title tossed on him way too young.
IN FACT, you wanna get detailed about this?
Usually elves, of any subrace, will strike out on their own after hitting 100. They go do whatever they wanna do. The explore identity, hobbies, strife, heroism, passions, whatever! This usually lasts until late 300's. Around 400, elves settle down somewhat.
If the shadow curse is 100 years old- I think that's mentioned in the game, or am I wrong? - and Halsin is currently 350, that means he was forced into position as ArchDruid at age 250. Way too young to be given such a position, still very much a young adult still trying to figure himself out.
On the one hand, this is interesting. If he had been written better, you could do a lot with this. They tried, but he was obviously too rushed for any substance.
On the other hand...I didn't want a younger archdruid robbed of his youth. I wanted a wise, old archdruid that wanted to restore balance to nature as well as help protect his newfound friends. I wanted a wise old archdruid that, while he isn't fond of cities, still could sit and tell you how they play a role in nature. I wanted a wise old archdruid that is beyond intimidating when needed, but also soft and comforting when needed.
That is what was advertised to us in EA.
Not what we got in game.
