It was one of those days, a day where even the strongest could not escape. Even if the light shun onto his face, he could not bring a smile to his face. Anyhow, who in the first place had a smile on their lips as soon as they opened their eyes after a sleeping night? It was absurd. A single stare to the ceiling of his toom, which seemed to take ages before those pale colored eyes closed once more. A deep breath taken in followed by a loud sigh.
They were waiting for him, as the new day just started. So many relayed on their King, and yet today, he did not have the will to be there. A face he rarely showed around, only few knew that side.
Finally, the body reacted, moved all together to give one of those unsatisfying stretches, but still felt good. The right arm moved to his left to simply grab the heavy blanket and yanked it off his naked body. Another physical effort and he was finally sitting at the edge of his mattress, long wavy hair falling onto his shoulders.
Tired eyes glancing at the floor of the room, mind overthinking about everything. The past, the present, and future. Words of an old friend coming back, reminding himself how important his very own job was ever since he created those lands.... Created. A big emphasis on that one single word when they spoke.
One last push and the devil finally was up on his feet. His tail slithered off the bed, following every movement of his body. A few steps away now, his clawed hands opened the wardrobe containing all of his clothes, just to choose his casual clothing. A red shirt, open enough to see very well his toned chest, with a dark grey type of waitcoat, horned of two belts with trinkets dangling. As for the bottom, he dressed up with black clean pants and pointy boots that stopped just over the ankles to give a style. He finished the look, putting on a long cardigan reminding of one of those trenchcoat, a signature he very often had.
Grabbing a hair tie, he tied up the top of his hair while letting the rest loose. One last look in a mirror, an other deep breath in, and he was gone through the door.
