Ambre: So what's the deal with the light saber? I'll admit they are cool as shit, but you guys really use them for fighting? I mean, for actual battles and shit? That's crazy! I mean, no disrespect but have you considered maybe a shield would have been nice at the very least?
Tika: Light sabers are a elegant and precise weapon, and they do constitute a good defense for a trained Jedi.
Ambre: Yeah I call bullshit on that. I mean look: this object is clearly design as an offensive weapon! You can block what? One, maybe two bolt at once? Provided that you can anticipate the shots. Yeah I know, Jedi instinct and all that... I'm just saying, even gungans have shield that even a statue can use to protect itself from more than ten bolts at once! Were Jedi so arrogant they wouldn't use a technology like this to their advantage?
Tika: ... I think I see your point. But make no mystakes, the gungans are incredibly advanced with their technology. The only reason they don't outshine the Mon Calamari is that they have no interest in space faring.
Ambre: Right ok. Look, I love learning about sword fighting, really, but as far as my and others' safety is concerned I prefer a good shield, and maybe even a blaster. And there is something else bothering me with how light sabers work...
Ambre: You're suppose to use your kiber crystal to power it? Like... the kyber cristal choose you, and you make it into a weapon? It doesn't sits right with me. You told me they were alive!
Tika: I never though about it that way... It's an ancestral custom from the early Jedi, and the kyber never seemed to mind. It, the Jedi and the light saber are as one, and the saber is as much a part of ourselves as, say... a limb. I have to say the Jedi temple did a lot for the advance of prosthetic.
Ambre: ... Was that a Joke?
Tika: I'll have you know that my primary roll as a Jedi in the clone war was to pass as a regular human being. Jokes are one of the skills a Jedi have to master to achieve that.
Ambre: How did you survive the war?
Tika: That was also a joke.
