Don’t mind me just thinking abt herm post shatter and specifically how it would affect his attitude towards his hero work and secret identity vibes. before he’s sort of nonchalant about it - openly sharing details about his grandma, their house, his first name etc.
post shatter? he’s an absolute clam. especially down the line as an experienced hero, maybe when him and zig are married, DOUBLE ESPECIALLY if they have kids - you are not getting a peep out of this man about his personal life. absolutely not. for all intents and purposes, waterman (or torrent or whatever they call him) is a bachelor with no attachments. he has no wallet photos, he will not take calls from home in front of his coworkers or dispatcher, nothing.
because he will be god damned if he ever lets his loved ones end up as blackmail material, or god forbid something worse, ever again
