December Studyblr Post-A-Day challenge: Day 2
Winter essentials ❄️
December Studyblr Post-A-Day (Day 1)
Okay. Technically, it’s December 3rd, but I’m gonna start this anyways and mash a couple of days into one.
December Goals:
1. Finish my dual enrollment class: I’ve been slacking. Partly because of mental health and family issues, but mostly because I am just not interested in science. I’m taking this course because I need a science elective to graduate, and it is semi-interesting, but at this point, I just need to get it done.
2. Work on my perfectionism: Multiple times this year I’ve struggled with turning in assignments because I make them much bigger in my mind because I can’t turn anything in that’s “half-assed.” When I put my name on something, it has to be thoroughly researched, well written, etc. It causes some issues, but I am going to work on it.
3. Make my bed every morning: I only started doing this recently, but I found that it gets me into a good mood when I leave for school and when I come home. Hopefully, it will become a habit.
4. Do this challenge: Fairly self-explanatory, but for the longest time, I haven’t posted on my own account because I thought my studying-content wasn’t up to par, but I guess that has to do with the perfectionism.

Well, the results of that poll are in and there’s a clear winner!

Learning to Play the Waiting Game
Learning to Play the Waiting Game
I am learning to play the waiting game. Sitting in a hospital, watching nurses, orderlies, assistants, doctors bustling through the wards. Checking in on patients, carrying clipboards, stethoscopes, wearing gloves, sometimes masks. Speaking in those quiet, hospital tones. While we sit and wait. Watching our sweet girl sleep fitfully on the narrow bed with the rails up. The monitor showing data…

Gratitude On A Difficult Day
Gratitude On A Difficult Day
Blog Post #18 Today was a difficult day. My friend, Trish, passed away early this morning — it’s so sad but a blessing as well, because she is no longer in pain or suffering. I am saddened by her passing. I will miss her. Thinking about her family and friends and the grief they are now experiencing is hard. Then this afternoon, we had to take our daughter to emergency as she became severely…
