Last Call checks in to FYF Fest for the music of Shlohmo. This is "Slow Descent.”

The top goal for Nutron when I started it, was to help spread the word about all this great underground futurewave music I was finding to the rest of the world. I want the guys you see me posting here to be household names one day.

So, seeing shlohmo featured on a small, but somewhat-mainstream network television show is strangely exciting!

Sometimes, the first thing to grab my attention is the artwork and the work of Jesse Treece always has my attention. So, after digging deeper to find out who this musician is with the great taste in art, I find myself lost in a world of psychedelic synths swirling around chilled out lounge beats and sunny melodies that sound futuristic and retro all at once. I'm hooked. It's been ages since I've found music that reminds me of some of those early listens of Stereolab and Broadcast, but the Portland's Travel Kyoto is just who i've been looking for, and there's plenty of golden sounds of tomorrow to find at their Bandcamp page. Highest recommendation.
