PLAZA makes a resounding foray into 2017 with their very first track of the year. The UK indie rock quartet delivers a ruffled wall of post-punk meets coldwave sludgy melodic splendor on Origami, the first single lifted from a forthcoming EP slated for an April release. The icy brooding track was written when the band was recording their first demos with their good friend Christopher Milnes in his Leeds flat. They took inspiration from all the small pieces of origami he’d made that were lying around, reflecting on the peacefulness of the art and how it gives a sense of emotional detachment. Origami will be released as a single Friday, January 20th, via Beyond The Wall.
