Post-pokeverse: Slinky!kittens 2
Rather than arguing the point with Loki, Roskva simply let it slide and went to talk to Thor later. She found him at the goat pasture, checking on the fostered kid. One of the goats, bred for the first time this year, had turned out to give mead instead of milk -- that sort of thing cropped up periodically in goats from divine stock -- so they'd carefully transferred her kid to one of the reliable milch goats who'd only had one this year.
"The kittens' eyes are open," she said, reaching the end of the sentence with an unfinished air.
Post-pokeverse: Slinky!kittens
Kisa had, as Sif noted, gone into heat and run off while Roskva was roaming other universes with Lokis. By the time they returned, so had the cat, who spent a few weeks looking moderately more pleased with herself than during the winter and eating ravenously.
Several weeks later, she absconded with and mangled a knitted blanket from the back of a couch for her nest, spent a day snarling at anyone who came near her, and gave birth to four rather lanky, dark grey kittens. Roskva looked in on her periodically, mostly to supply food or clean, and otherwise let her alone, and didn't try to pet her for a few days.
When the kittens were nine days old, Kisa apparently got tired of her nest and started moving them. Roskva passed by, thought nothing of seeing her pick one up, and proceeded into the kitchen, but moments later, she heard an agitated mewing and went to see what was wrong.
Kisa was walking back and forth agitatedly, about three feet from the nest. The kitten's head and front paws were sprawled out there. Its hindquarters remained entangled in the blankets. And its body stretched between the two points.
Kisa meowed again and picked up the kitten by the scruff, taking a few more steps. It elongated further. She looked back and set it down, then looked at Roskva and mewed loudly in a 'fix this!' sort of tone.
Roskva, rather puzzled, came over and carefully scooped up the front end of the kitten, sliding her hand under its body a foot or so back. She could feel a thin but healthy layer of flesh over a tiny ribcage, which felt basically normal aside from its length. When she lifted both points, however, the section between them still drooped to the floor.
She studied this for a moment, then very carefully scooted both portions of the kitten back toward the nest. Once the head was near the hindquarters, the body began contracting. It was a peculiar feeling, as if the sets of ribs were moving closer together like the coils of a loose spring and then collapsing into each other, but the kitten didn't seem upset, just happy to be back in the warm nest. Kisa settled back next to them, looking disgruntled, and Roskva brought her fresh water and meat.
Then she went upstairs. She found Loki's door open and knocked on it anyway. "Excuse me," she said, "but did you enchant any of the cats?"

Loki, have you been up to something? :)
