The Pleistocene Ice Age is catagorised by a rise in mammalian mega-fauna or megolithic/mesolithic animals these include wooly mammoths, wooly rhinoceroses, giant irish elk, giant sloths, cave bears, dire wolves, saber-tooth tigers and others. This period of time also relates to the initial migration of humanoid man out of Africa into the Eurasian steppes in search of food and shelter from the cold. Migrating peoples heading for Europe would later develop lighter skin due to lower UV radiation and a persistence of cold weather likewise there is evidence to suggest that the distinctive Asian slanting eyes have developed in a response to the Ice Age helping to shield vision during blizzards.

The taxi driver dropped us off at a restaurant.  Judging from the sheer number of live sea animals outside, I’m guessing this is a big deal seafood restaurant.  If it were anyone other than Ken-chan and Tomo-san, I’d be seriously worried about whether I’ll be able to find anything to eat here.  

I feel bad for the octopus!  I love octopi, and it’s so sad seeing him (or her) just sitting there in that tank.  TAT

Ken-chan’s really drunk!  Haha.  I followed him back to the car while Tomo-san paid because I was worried he might stumble and fall.  Now we’re just sitting in the car while we wait for the driver to get here.
