3.26 // 5.60 destiny's kiss, destiny's blow.
…because the painful words of the past have essentially nothing to do with who you are. - 2.24 if i may shed away my burden now
all i’m getting from these mersault speeches is that dazai will be faced with the decision between his own dignity and chuuya’s embarrassment and will choose the latter every time
i chose by my own will to stand next to the captain, yet all you can say to change my mind is "justice"?
3.27 // 5.60 do you truly believe there's any value in the act of living? - dazai chuuya fifteen years old
translation of the official gakuen au verlaine’s bio
chuuya’s older brother who was studying abroad in france. recently returned to japan. he looks after kyouka and gin at his part-time job and is quite fond of them. he recently learned what “bentos” are from gin and enjoys making them. he seems to have some sort of history with the school’s home ec teacher randou, and will occasionally sneak into the school to pick fights w/ him.

we are in a schroedinger’s dazai situation because are we almost certain he’s alive? yes. did he get shot in the head? yeah. so he’s kinda simultaneously dead and alive until the next chapter (at least)
most amusing thing about the mask that Asagiri-sensei wore to AX and his signing is that he had it made w the motifs of ellipses (…) and dialogue bubbles in mind. truly a fascinating person to me. (source: tweet caption)
