(Anas Strepera) Adult male in breeding plumage; female mottled brown

Found throughout United States and Canada, as far north as Lesser Slave Lake, and in Europe and Asia, but most abundant in western United States. Also called Gray Duck. The white spot on the wing, conspicuous in flight, is a good identification mark in any plumage.

Day 128-130 Post Challenge - so I sent this to the 3 friends in the photo of us from a hen do at the weekend, as they are all the same I’m not duplicating this post. I’m a bit behind with sending post, but I haven’t received any for nearly 2 weeks or maybe it has been over 2 weeks so my enthusiasm was waiting, however I’ve got a couple to write to. With it being summer there’s a lot going on plus I keep seeing the usual suspects I’d write to, well some of them!!

Day 117 Post Challenge - a vintage advert postcard for my friend who'd had a operation, we used to work together on and mainly keep in touch through the odd card which is good as I live a few hours away now.

Day 97 Post Challenge - sent these two postcards to my friend who sent the save the date and card last week. A Batwoman comic postcard and an Alice in Wonderland with a jazzy envelope and lots of washi tape!
