Obligatory band photo in front of the Gruene Hall. There's certain rooms around the country where as a musician you hear about these legendary shows all your favorite bands have played there. Texas is full of em but the Gruene Hall has something particularly special about it. Maybe it's the beer and sweat soaked wood. The years and years of sold out shows with no A.C. in 100+ degree Texas summer heat. There seems to be an unspoken respect everyone has for the songs that are performed from that stage and it's just such an absolute pleasure to play music there. Thanks to our friends Reckless Kelly for inviting us into their world that they've worked so damn hard for. I always feel so inspired leaving their shows and as we head back west I just can't wait to run to the cabin in Idaho and write. Thanks to my band Andy Crosby, Ben Waligoske, and Mike Rundle for braving the south and Texas heat with me and playin their asses off every night wether it was 5 or 500 people. And to my pops, Dave Crosby, for putting his life on hold to come to Texas and help sell T-shirts and chase some last-calls with me. Few days off and were pickin up "Shakey" Dave Manion and headed to Oregon. Hooray for summer.
