@loyaltyworn / tony stark is my favorite character in all of marvel. pretty much any fandom franchise out there, tbh. i just wanted to drop you a line to say your understanding of him is just phenomenal. you never cease to blow my mind every time you write. or put one of your astounding headcanons out there for us to read. you are doing a job that goes beyond the word 'great'. it's damn perfection. and i hope you know that you do a character i love and adore so much justice..you are a treasure on my dash. i’m not crying you’re crying
listen you can’t do this to me i have a tough mean image to maintain okay, i’m the biggest blubbery baby no one can know.
but this is like the holy grail, right here. because i love this idiot tin can so much, and certainly more than some of his writers, and a good chunk of the fandom, ever has. he’s flawed. he’s a little broken. he’s too trusting and too willing to hurt himself to raise up others (which is such a direct contradiction to what a lot of people believe and what he’d like people believe, which is that he’s an arrogant, egotistical jackass...not that...he can’t...be that bc god knows he can have i mentioned what a moron he is lately?). but fundamentally he’s a good man and wants to do the right thing. he’s compassionate and caring and warm and so, so generous with everything he has and i just!!! love tony stark!!! he is, i think, a good representation that people can change, that not everyone with two quarters to rub together is a soulless greedy husk, and that you don’t have to have powers to be super. and you don’t have to be perfect to be a hero. i don’t really know when he transitioned from being like...one of my favorite characters to being king of the trashpile, but it’s been so long now ig it doesn’t even matter.
i just. i love him lots. and strive to do him justice, because he’s such a well-rounded, faceted character that often gets a raw deal when he doesn’t deserve it. so yeah, this is what i’m aiming for, this is why i pick the runs i do for the foundation of his characterization. tony deserves the best and no i do not take criticism for that.
