I love this place so much , its such a refreshing space on the internet, its not perfect but it's a specific corner of the internet that's just filled with weirdos sharing amazing art and cool passion projects, not to mention when a serious topic comes up people actually sute sources to learn more and get more educated on the issue
I love it sm

FOCUSING ON THE POSITIVES OF 2025
When we get close to the end of the year many of us say, “I’m ready for this year to end. It was a bad year.” We often focus on all the bad things that happened in the year, forgetting there were also good things. It’s easy to think about everything that went wrong in the year so that we can hope that a new year will be better. But it shouldn’t be the negatives of the past year that carry us…

Good things about my new job:
I have found “my people” aka a group of coworkers I feel safe having real conversations about the job. I feel welcomed into their group and I feel like they trust me. They see me as competent and a leader. They’ve given me a lot of information about company culture and I have no doubt they have my back. I enjoy spending time with them.
There is a therapy dog!!! Her name is Nola and she’s great. She was a stray that hung around the facility. Someone took her to the vet to see if she was chipped and she wasn’t. Now she lives at the facility full time. She stays with the residents (with safety in mind) and they help take care of her. She has a handler who is a coworker. He is part of group of people I mentioned above. He and I have had a few conversations where he’s given me advice and helped me understand more about the dynamics that are happening between staff, which I have appreciated a lot.
(I get the feeling he likes me. He’s invited me out twice. Each time was when I already had plans. I’m really not interested. I hope it doesn’t get awkward.)
I’m also learning a lot and growing a lot. I keep saying that I could either run away from this job or I could take it on and fight for myself in a way I didn’t feel like I could at my last job. That feeling is empowering. It feels good. I just hope I can maintain this feeling as time goes on.
