I'm trying to figure out why the Divine 9 doesn't want representation at protests and marches, but they would sign off on Sorority Sisters on Vh1. Didn't that culture vulture Mona Scott-Young come up with that too?

I see so many non-black people on tumblr arguing amongst themselves on how to be a good ally from “don’t stand at the front of the crowd” to “don’t protest” and “don’t lead chants” to “don’t chant” and on so many threads I keep looking for like a black activist to come in and explain how far is too far and ironically the only people arguing in a lot of them are white “sjw” type bloggers?
So here’s a question for the black members of this movement: I’m going to a protest tomorrow. I’m not black. What should I do and what shouldn’t I do? Like, this isn’t hypothetical. I wanna be prepared for this thing.
Congrats postracialcomments for making enough of an impact to get into EIU in Charleston's newspaper, and congrats to everyone who called and taught that man a lesson.
The admin of this amazing blog (postracialcomments) responded to one of my asks and said “Whatever you consider yourself is valid.” And that is such an accurate and wonderful way to look at things.
Is cuffing season a black thing?
If that article is any indication, then yes. Hopefully postracialcomments or blackinamerica can shed more insight than I can (because they’re two of the best pro-black blogs I’ve seen on this site).

Ya’ll remember that Jennie Mancuso Guthier woman? Well black tumblr is too real (via Facebook post about Ferguson leads to firing)
shoutout to all the blogs about race and privilege who wade through scores or racist anon messages that are "definitely not" from racist white folks
