From July 23rd to the 29th! The first ever KamuKoma Week!!

Platonic or romantic! General or specific! If you love this dynamic and/or ship, then this is your opportunity if you were looking for one!

An assorted sheet of doodles of Periwinkle, she’s participating in the Kirby Oc Tournament, so this will be propaganda for her.

Descriptions under the cut!

Doodle No.1: Periwinkle without her bandage has a crack where her right eye is supposed to be, inside that crack is a fairly unusual eye, resembling that of Dark Matter.

Doodle No.2: Periwinkle​ taking a nap from a bird's-eye view.

Doodle No.3: Periwinkle​ reading a book, she usually does this.

Doodle No.4: Periwinkle​ facing the viewer and waving with a smile on her face.

Doodle No.5: Periwinkle​ managed to fold her first ever origami crane (Before she came to the Kirby OC Tournament), she's looking at it with joy.

Doodle No.6: Periwinkle​ as a mochi appears on a plate with a fork impaling the mochi (I just thought this was funny, nope no foreshadowing, I just thought it was funny. )

Doodle No.7: Periwinkle​ is running off somewhere, I wonder where?

Doodle No.8: Periwinkle​ is​ looking at a laptop (An in-universe reason why she ended up in the Kirby Oc Tournament,​ was a laptop being a gateway there.).

Yes. Ahahaha, sorry, sorry. I’ve been busy with my other projects because I’m an idiot who jumps around and gets distracted easily. But, um, if you have any questions or even suggestions, I’ll always be here to answer to the best of my ability!

For me, uh, I recently applied for a couple of zines so I’m just waiting to see if I get accepted before deciding on what I should do for this. :V

Hey mod! Tell us why you like KamuKoma! :D

I like it for all sorts of reasons!!! Lemme just…make a short (?) bullet list.

Aesthetics! They look really good together especially with the contrasts of white and black, red and green!!!

They’re actually pretty similar in terms of worldview! Chapter 0 may be short and a pretty confusing on an initial reading but if you take the time to analyze it and really looks at it, I find that the stuff here is faaaaascinating, with Kamukura basically overlaying his philosophies and showcasing a lot of his personal beliefs.

In a way they two of them actually parallel one another a lot!!! Kamukura’s plot as gleaned is very similar to Komaeda’s plot in Chapter 5. That’s a pretty significant similarity and also just…really sad… But also just really interesting and often overlooked in the fanbase! Super underrated!

That said their personalities are also different yet similar in a way that can potentially play off one another in really interesting ways. Komaeda is very driven and tenacious, but also surprisingly sentimental. Kamukura is very ambivalent and apathetic, seemingly Komaeda’s opposite, but he’s also shown to be very driven in the games given how set he is on the whole Junko AI thing. I feel like this kind of similarity would draw Komaeda’s attention, even with the initial personality clash.

I just really like the idea of the two of them find a strange sort of comfort/ease in one another’s presences when with other people they’re super isolated if not outright alienated. For Komaeda, it’d be comforting to have someone unaffected by his luck and just how ‘weird’ he is. For Kamukura, Komaeda can be motivating and a stimulating conversationalist.

Also!!! Healing!!!! I really like the idea of them healing together!!! Trying to help each other but struggling but still wanting!!!! Both of them realizing that they caaaaare about each other soooooo much!!!!  Good stuff!!!!

I’m just really weak for Kamukura showing gentleness and obvious favoritism towards Komaeda and then acting like he’s just being logical. And also Komaeda just being casually cuddly and affectionate with Kamukura and Kamukura not reacting outwardly but definitely enjoying said cuddles and affections. And also just other good healing stuff like them comforting each other after nightmares or during despair times, just… Soooo good, aaaaahhhh…

Cold grump/happy-go-lucky romantic is just a really good combo too. It’s just…a really appealing dynamic to me. Sorry not sorry.

And other reasons I’m sure I can come up with later.

Still, all in all: good underrated ship with lots of potential that lots of people overlook!!! Part of why I organized this week in the first place is that in addition to wanting to provide more KamuKoma fanstuff in general, I wanted to give people a chance to potentially explore different avenues of their relationship!

I’m really, really excited…!
