what pirates of silicon valley opinion got you feeling like this?

Why, thank you for the ask, Kenny.

I’m not exactly sure if any of these are controversial opinions. I guess you could just call them opinions that I haven’t seen anyone express or don’t think people will agree with, thus making me feel like I have no mouth and I must scream.

I think a lot of the casting in PoSV is really bad and I wish it was better. That sounds insane off the bat but don’t worry, I don’t mean any of the main characters. They’re perfect… I was thinking more about the side characters. Mike Markkula is a guy in a suit. That’s fine of course, he’s in the movie for like a single scene. Andy Hertzfeld (I swear it’s meant to be Andy) is played by a skinny little spawn of Danny Elfman. John Sculley is like some old guy with dark brown hair? At least get his hair colour right…

This leads me on to a point I feel more strongly about. John Sculley should’ve been in the movie more! I feel like he played such an important role in the story PoSV is trying to tell. I know, I know, it’s not an Apple movie, it’s a movie about Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. It just makes sense to me though. Steve and him were super close and he plays a huge role in Steve quitting Apple, the company’s direction in the 80s in general, IDK.

I guess what I’m trying to say it… They shoulda made a PoSV 2 focusing on Steve’s fall out with Sculley, building NeXT, Pixar, his personal life after Apple and also Bill building Microsoft in the 80s up into the 90s with the lawsuit, becoming the richest man in the world but also so hated, working with Steve again when he returns to Apple. It would be so angsty and yaoi.

What do we think guys…? LMK what you would name the movie…
