did you bleach your hair before you dyed it?

Yep! It wouldn't have came out so vibrant if I hadn't. I have naturally dark brown hair. I had to bleach it twice which took about a month, then used an ultra light ash blonde box dye to take out the brassy tones. It still wasn't white blonde but it was close enough for the purple to catch on good. :)
