A few months ago I was diagnosed with POTS disease. It actually explains a lot about me; why I get winded just by standing in one place for too long, why I have such a hard time regulating my own body temperature, why my heart starts pounding after any amount of exercise, why I would get super dizzy and risk fainting just by standing up too fast. Having this little one with me makes things a little more bearable.
With that said, this is Dizzy! She’s not related to Aisling or Enigma, but they’re good friends already!
Plushie Dreadfuls belong to and are made by American McGee
Dizzy belongs to me
Is this the calm before the storm or the frost before the spring?
I'm so glad that my friends and family are really understanding and think that my POTS symptoms are nonexistent.. like I'm just pretending to be miserable and in pain all the time.. because that's so much fun :)
POTS Life
1) Salt.
2) Water.
Repeat.
sometimes I really wish I had a friend that also has pots.. not that I want someone close to me to have to deal with this too, but so that I have someone who actually understands what I'm going through. most of my friends, and even my family, don't get that there are times where I literally can not get up and do things; not because I'm being "lazy" or "difficult" but because I seriously can't. or that I can go from feeling kind of okay one minute, to being extremely dizzy with a high pulse the next. I'm tired of people treating me like there isn't anything wrong with me, and that I'm just being "difficult" or "looking for attention" just because they don't understand how weak I feel pretty much every day.
One of the hard things about having POTS is the symptoms you can't easily explain away. Like it sucks to have to cancel plans because I'm so tired and dizzy I can't get out of bed because it doesn't make sense to healthy people to literally be unable to physically move. When it's my migraine or arthritis, people get that more, but it's when I'm so tired that typing this is exhausting that people just don't get.
