being into a ceramics is so weird like i’m foaming at the mouth and calling a dinner platter sexy
actually on the topic of submycenaean pottery its so fucking funny how fake it is actually. like other pottery chronology, they try and justify it right like late geometric is like. "we have more human figures guys look this can be considered a change in popular style but like we'll keep it around the same amt of time as every other period" or whatever. and then in the submycenaean discourse corner you have ruppenstein 2007 slamming an empty folder onto the table and going "GUYS. ITS GOTTA BE 100 YEARS LONG. SOURCE? UH VIBES" while some guy is waving around italian-swiss dendrochronology but still also giving submycenaean 50 years. rutter (1978) has had his head in his hands for 50 years and yet the attempts have not ceased. give it up guys pack it up we're not making submycenaean happen
i was not kidding when i said i was gonna milk tf outta my ceramics final
imma be milking this set for all it’s worth btw
