Soooo.... I was thinking of magic school in general. You know, Harry Potter, Twisted Wonderland and such.... And when I think about it… they don't have any real use in having their magic degree, it feel like it's just decorative...
In harry potter they only have choice in becoming auror, working at the ministry of magic, being a teacher or a healer…. in twisted wonderland….. it seems there is no really any jobs especially designed for mages except teacher in a magic school….
So I got thinking all night (litterally.... kill my brain please) and here I came with this:
In Scriptoria, magic is not a career in itself.
It is a qualification, much like engineering, medicine, or law.
A mage is not defined by what they are, but by how they apply magic.
Untrained magic is dangerous.
Trained magic is infrastructure.
