So I use fb as a way to connect with other artists and I show them my support by liking the work they share on it. Rarely do they return that. But I do get artists messaging me asking me to watch some video and vote for them or buy their work wanting something from me. It feels very one sided.

So I wrote something, but haven’t yet posted it, I’m worried it sounds too angry, so I wanted to run it past you…

The poverty line in NM for 2024 is 15,060. I will make 11,316 this year. I am an artist. You can help me out by appreciating my work. You can even buy a work which would help me pay my grocery tab. I am so grateful to my local grocer, and to the people that own my work (the ones that paid for my work, if I gave you something that you love and have hanging on your wall, now is the time for you to appreciate me). Maybe with enough support I can make it to the poverty line.

I used to have a website called Angry American Photographer, but I was too angry to really develop it so I canned it. All it ever had was a picture of Rosa in York with the words “under construction”

A recent report released by the World Bank has revealed that over one-third of Jordan's population lives below the poverty line. 

UNDP Jordan provides hands-on training for women to fight poverty and transform the lives and opportunities of women and their families and support the local economy so they can start their own businesses that can create new jobs and boost the local economy.

An Adjustment to Global Poverty Lines.

The World Bank updated the global poverty lines in September 2022. The decision, announced in May, follows the release in 2020 of new purchasing power parities (PPPs)—the main data used to convert different currencies into a common, comparable unit and account for price differences across countries. The new extreme poverty line of $2.15 per person per day, which replaces the $1.90 poverty line, is based on 2017 PPPs.
