The Poverty Pit II
I don't have a driver's license. It was suspended it after I got a driving on suspended charge while driving without insurance in somebody else's car.
I can easily reinstate it... If I pay $600.
And I ask you: how am I supposed to pay $600 if I can't drive to a job?
I was making some money online, but I couldn't afford to keep my internet and all I have is my phone. The nearest public transportation is a bus stop 2 miles away, which I have to walk through the ganglands to get to. When I first moved in, neither of the city's taxi services would come to my house, but after lodging enough complaints they finally will... But even so, I can't afford $30 round trip to get to work. there's usually a week's worth of training in my field, so I wouldn't see money for at least a week (it would be 3 weeks if I didn't work an a tip-based industry.) and I'm supposed to afford a uniform on top of that.
This poverty pit... I can't crawl out of it.
