Every thought, action, decision, or feeling creates an eddy in the interlocking, inter-balancing, ever-moving energy fields of life
Every thought, action, decision, or feeling creates an eddy in the interlocking, inter-balancing, ever-moving energy fields of life, leaving a permanent record for all of time. This realization can be intimidating when it first dawns on us, but it becomes a springboard for rapid evolution. In this interconnected universe, every improvement we make in our private world improves the world at large for everyone. We all float on the collective level of consciousness of mankind so that any increment we add comes back to us. We all add to our common buoyancy by our efforts to benefit life. What we do to benefit life automatically benefits all of us because we are all included in that which is life.

The publication of Power vs. Force by Sir David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., reveals to the general public secret information heretofore only shared by the author with certain Nobelists and world leaders.
Analyzing the basic nature of human thought and consciousness itself, the author makes available to everyone the key to penetrating the last barrier to the advancement of civilization and science and resolving the most crucial of all human dilemmas: how to instantly determine the truth or falsehood of any statement or supposed fact.
All human endeavors have the common goal of understanding or influencing human experience. To this end, man has developed numerous descriptive and analytical disciplines: morality, philosophy, psychology, and so on. Regardless of what branch of inquiry one starts from (philosophy, political theory, theology) all avenues of investigation eventually converge at a common meeting point: the quest for an organized understanding of the nature of pure consciousness.
To explain that which is simple can be difficult indeed. Much of this book is devoted to the process of making the simple obvious. If we can understand even one simple thing in depth, we will have greatly expanded our capacity for comprehending the nature of the universe and life itself.
Recovering from a single addiction can take up the majority of a single lifetime— and the most common and insidious addiction is to denial, which plagues all of mankind through intellectual vanity.

Levels of Human Consciousness
These are the levels of human consciousness, as described by David R. Hawkins in his book Power vs. Force. All descriptions are Hawkins'. This is not a way of judging people's personalities. It is a way of measuring the energy of human consciousness levels.
From lowest vibration to highest:
Shame - We all have some awareness of the pain of "losing face," becoming discredited, or feeling like a "nonperson." Shame is often used as a tool of cruelty, and its victims often become cruel themselves. It is the closest vibration to death; banishment is a traditional accompaniment of shame, and in the primitive societies from which we all originate, banishment is equivalent to death. emotion = humiliation
Guilt - Guilt, so commonly used in our society to manipulate and punish, manifests itself in ways such as remorse, self-recrimination, and the whole gamut of symptoms of victimhood. Guilt provokes rage, and killing frequently is its expression. emotion = blame
Apathy - Apathy is the level of the abandonment of hope, and few have the courage to really look in its face. The world and it's future look bleak; pathos is the theme of life. Characterized by despair and hopelessness. emotion = despair
Grief - the level of sadness, loss, despondency. Grief is the cemetery of life, but still has more energy than apathy does; when an apathetic person begins to cry, we know they are getting better. emotion = regret
Fear - Fear is the favored official tool for control by oppressive totalitarian agencies, and insecurity is the stock-in-trade of major manipulators of the marketplace. Once fear is one's focus, the endless worrisome events of the world feed it. Fear limits growth of the personality. The fearful seek strong leaders who appear to have conquered their won fears to lead them. emotion = anxiety
Desire - more energy is available at this level; Desire moves us to expend great effort to achieve goals or obtain rewards. The desire for money, prestige, or power runs the lives of many of those who have risen above fear as their predominant life motif. emotion = craving
Anger - Although Anger may lead to homicide and war, as an energy level it's much further removed from death than those below it. Anger can lead to either constructive or destructive action. As people move out of Apathy and Grief to overcome Fear as a way of life, they begin to want; Desire leads to frustration, which in turn leads to Anger. emotion = hate
Pride - Pride has enough energy to run the United States Marine Corps. In contrast to the lower energy fields, people feel positive as they reach this level. Consider the difference in energy level between the despair and hopelessness of Apathy and the self-respect of being a Marine. The downside of Pride is arrogance and denial. Thus Pride is a very sizable block to the acquisition of real power, which displaces Pride with true stature and prestige. emotion = scorn
Courage - At this level, power first appears. This is the zone of exploration, accomplishment, fortitude, and determination. At this level of empowerment, people put back into the world as much energy as they take; this is where productivity begins. emotion = affirmation
Neutrality - energy becomes very positive at this level, epitomized by release from the positionality that typifies lower levels; at the Neutral level, a person feels the beginning of inner confidence, senses one's power, and isn't easily intimidated or driven to prove anything. This attitude is nonjudgmental and doesn't lead to any need to control other people's behaviors. Correspondingly, due to Neutral people's value of freedom, they're difficult to control. emotion = trust
Willingness - the gateway to higher levels of consciousness. For instance, at the Neutral level, jobs are done adequately, but at the level of Willingness, work is done well and success is common. Willing people are helpful to other and contribute to the good of society. emotion = optimism
Acceptance - At this level of awareness, a major transformation takes place, with the understanding that one is oneself the source and creator of the experience of one's life. All people at levels below Courage tend to be powerless and see themselves as victims, at the mercy of life. This stems from a belief that the source of one's happiness or cause of one's problems is "out there." An enormous jump - taking back one's own power - is completed at this level, with the realization that the source of happiness is within oneself. The individual at the level of Acceptance isn't interested in determining right or wrong, but instead is dedicated to resolving issues and finding out what to do about problems. emotion = forgiveness
Reason - Reason is capable of handling large, complex amounts of data and making rapid, correct decisions; of understanding the intricacies of relationships, gradations, and fine distinctions. Einstein, Freud, and may of the other great thinkers of history calibrate here. Although Reason is highly effective in a technical world where the methodologies of logic dominate, Reason itself, paradoxically, is the major block to reaching higher levels of consciousness. emotion = understanding
Love - This level is characterized by the development of a Love that is unconditional, unchanging, and permanent. It doesn't fluctuate - its source is not dependent on external factors. Loving is a state of being. It's a forgiving, nurturing, and supportive way of relating to the world. Reason deals only with particulars, whereas Love deals with entireties. This ability, often ascribed to intuition, is the capacity for instantaneous understanding without resorting to sequential symbol processing. Love takes no position, and thus is global, rising above separation. This is the level of true happiness, but although the world is fascinated with the subject of Love, and all viable religions calibrate at this level or higher, it's interesting to note that only .4 percent of the world's population ever reaches this level of consciousness. emotion = reverence
Joy - as Love becomes more and more unconditional, it begins to be experienced as inner Joy. This isn't the sudden joy of a pleasurable turn of events; it's a constant accompaniment to all activities. Joy arises from within each moment of existence, rather than from any other source. The hallmark of this state is compassion. People who have attained this level have a notable effect on others. At this level, the world one sees is illuminated by the exquisite beauty and perfection of creation. Everything happens effortlessly, by synchronicity, and the world and everything in it is seen to be an expression of love and divinity. At this level there is a desire to use one's state of consciousness for the benefit of life itself rather than for particular individuals. emotion = serenity
Peace - Extremely rare, attained by only 1 in 10 million people. When this state is reached, the distinction between subject and object disappears, and there's no specific focal point of perception. Individuals at this level tend to remove themselves from the world, as the state of bliss that ensues precludes ordinary activity. At this level, everything is perceived to be connected to everything else by a Presence whose power is infinite, exquisitely gentle, yet rock-solid. Great works of art, music, and architecture that calibrate between Peace and Enlightenment can transport us temporarily to higher levels of consciousness and are universally recognized as inspirational and timeless. emotion = bliss
Enlightenment - This is the level of the Great Ones of history who have originated the spiritual patterns that countless people have followed throughout the ages. All are associated with divinity, with which they're often identified. These beings set in place attractor energy fields that influence all of mankind. Great teachings uplift the masses and raise the level of awareness of all humanity. There's no longer any identification with the physical body as "me," and therefore, its fate is of no concern. Great works of art depicting individuals who have reached the level of Enlightenment characteristically show the teacher with a specific hand position, called mudra, wherein the palm of the hand radiates benediction - this is the act of transmitting this energy field to the consciousness of mankind. emotion = ineffable
There is a way to transcend the context of obligatory social conformity. Once that door is opened properly, it cannot be closed again, ever.
Power Vs. Force- David Hawkins
Power Vs. Force Friday
I am so grateful that Wayne Dyer has given us nine amazing secrets to discuss from his book, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace. The tenth, and what I feel is the most important, secret is, "Wisdom is Avoiding All Thoughts that Weaken You."
His basic premise is that all thoughts we have can be assessed in terms of whether they strengthen or weaken us. He tells of Dr. David Hawkins' book,Power vs. Force, which elaborates on how thoughts affect the physical nature of all people. This amazing book provides a "map of consciousness" that shows the energy levels at which we work with our different thoughts and feelings. Dyer reflects on this theory by saying that true wisdom is the ability to notice all thoughts and shift out of those thoughts that weaken us.
When we are thinking and feeling at lower energy levels with anger, fear, etc., we are using force in our lives, but as we vibrate at higher energy levels, Dyer says that this "power urges you to live and perform at your own highest level, and it is compassionate." Force enlists battles, but power is Truth and efficiency at its greatest. God operates in this place with and for us.
As we carry on through today, remember that low vibrating negative thoughts such as shame severely deplete us. Dyer suggests that forgiving ourselves is the most important aspect of living in compassion. See God's Truth lift our hearts and lives into excellence as we allow our minds to focus on the power of forgiveness and gratitude.
