I had little knowledge about the station when I joined almost 2 years ago but I knew enough to know that I wanted to be apart of this great progression and grow with the station. Mark Hopkins and D Hopkins of Hopkins and Ricks media group, Keisha Ricks and the rest of my power team have welcomed me with opens arms, allowing me to practice my craft and be creative any way I know how. We deliver the most exclusive Hip-Hop and R&B music with remarkable interviews featuring some of the world's most talented people. POWER1047.COM is truly a station for the people, giving unsigned artist every opportunity possible for their records to be played for millions to hear. From our PR team, executive boards, personalities and dj's, we are the TRUE meaning of dedication, hard work, loyalty, and determination as we fight for the top spot with our heads held high. Going from a couple hundred listeners to now reaching 4 million listeners and ranked most listened station on the cell phone app "Tune In" several times; God is on our side. Paris, China, Japan, Hawaii, America, Canada are a couple places our station is loved and supported. Many people have doubted us, written us off, some have never even given us a chance to shine but like a family we ride and prevail over it all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER!!!! I did an amazing interview with the family of Christopher Brown who was chased and strangled to death by a Baltimore County Police officer who thought kids were tryna break into his home.
