Thank you anon!!! And yeah a lot of it is that the pairing DOES sound fun!!!! I forgot the specific tumblr post that made me think about it in such detail, but I really like the idea of ships that are “Straight-laced/Gets-in-a-lot-of-trouble” which I could see playing out here if they ever interacted. Them both being spies also makes room for some Good bodyguard and heist AU’s, which I don’t read a lot of but are Primo. And the idea of one character essentially being a parody of the other seems???? Something something narrative foils but I am On Board.

Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t watched a James Bond or Austin Powers movie in like four years so I’m fuzzy on specifics, but I feel like I need to write like a 60k friends to lovers just to convince other people to join me on this ship
