ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
One of the few children of Eirene, she embodies her mother and that is what her father always used to say to her. Professor Aneurin Alywn, a teacher of English literature, would laugh as his red-headed little girl would peek through the door in the middle of one of his lectures before Gwendolyn would come and snatch the curious little thing up. The professor when class was dismissed would allow the young girl’s stepmother to release her then and the child that Winnie was would come running to climb up on his desk and he in turn would tell her stories. Stories of epic feats of heroes and that sort of thing but mostly in one way or another Eirene. He would tell her stories about her mother and for a time things were wonderful and the world was unaware of the child of peace.
Then came the day they weren’t so blind to the demigod’s existence. For her safety after an incredibly close call too close for comfort Winifred found herself arriving here at camp where she has remained these many years. If asked under what circumstances she arrived and stepped through the mist Winnie keeps silent but there are rumors the little girl she once was nearly died but the only reason she survived was because of her powers small as they were gave their party a moment in time where that which chased after them was pacified. There was just enough time to cross into the mist and stepping through those immediately around her felt at peace; felt safe and Winifred was claimed by her godly mother as her own. That’s just one of the things people have said over the years in regards to the kind and gentle soul that is Winifred Alwyn. Despite not being very open to talking about herself, how she arrived here or what life was like before Winnie will always listen to others - if there is anyone in this whole world capable of understanding another being its Winnie. She just gets it and she’ll make you something warm to fill your belly and stay up all night just to be there for just about anyone.
Though a staunch proponent for peace, never believing violence to be the answer it doesn’t mean she’s entirely passive. She’s a passionate one, imaginative and bright eyed. Monsters are only monstrous because we make them so and just because out parents are who they are does not mean we cannot be ourselves are things she’ll often say looking up from a book or brushing down one of the Pegasi in the stables. Make no mistake that the young woman is a force of nature not to be taken lightly or walked over and the girl can handle her own in a fight if it is truly called upon her to do something about it. She’ll hate herself for it, pray to her mother straight afterwards for forgiveness of the action that had to be taken but that just proves that no one is perfect even the guardian of peace she’s become.
She’s an adept pacemiakinetic & pathokinetic with the ability to control emotions, augment them even but the effect can only last so long - peace is not lasting but she can do her best to influence it and be sure in any argument that both sides are heard and a compromise can be made. With younger campers who are newer to their ranks, Winnie does her best to befriend them and if they are skittish or afraid she gives them a little boost so they know not to be afraid and that they indeed are safe here. Her abilities to have given her a strange desire, an unusual hunger to know and understand a whole plethora of things and call her a little crazy but she’s studying quite a bit with a desire to follow in her father’s footsteps to become a professor. A professor of what has yet to be seen but there is a running bet she’ll end up a teacher of anthropology - the study of people. As strange as it is though Winnie isn’t sure where she personally belongs or if there is a place for her in the everyday world but she does feel in the depths of her soul she is meant for more than an ordinary life.
