Your Family May Not Have Your Best Interest At Heart [And That’s A Hard Reality To Swallow]
Just watched Shane’s episode 6 of the Jake Paul’s video. And in it, the snippets about Jake’s family’s dramas was sprinkled evenly throughout. It was interesting to see his (indirect) struggle to keep his relationship with his family, and wanting to stand up for himself and to be his own man.
The struggle we all have to face in our own lives. To risk that falling out and eventual separation with our family and find our own independent identity. Which is what an adult is. Being your own person.
Where you are probably the only person who thinks about how other are feeling and thinking and they are not doing the same or considering the same. When your family see your power and the potential to which you can rise above them and they don’t like that, so they will try their best to suppress it with lies, demeaning comments, anything to distract you from your light, from your power.
The thing is, this is true to every single person out there. You need to choose between your future and your past. And sometimes this means, to break from your family. And most of us aren’t willing to do that. You know what, safety is temporary, why? Because your family will die one day. Your dad and mom will die. What will you left with then? Your siblings will have their own families, what will you have then?
It maybe hard right now, but it is okay to Choose You.
