i see him being pretty consistently suicidal, and i feel like he probably attempted it or got really close at some point before his death, which was a suicide. he didn’t approach the situation like someone who had any interest in living through it. as difficult and painful as it was, there were ways to survive, or at least ways that would offer or seem to offer a reasonable chance. he ruled them out by ordering kreacher to leave him before his state of mind was even altered by the potion. i’m not a fan of his death being used as some form of “redemption,” which is not how he meant it and sketchy besides. honestly if his main focus had been some form of heroics, i think he would have wanted to stay alive long enough to ensure that the locket was destroyed. he’d done enough research to know what it was and how complex the magic was, but he left it up to an elf who’d never even left his family home, who had strong magic but would have no way of finding out what to do. the rhetoric around suicide is that to want it is weak and to actually do it basically means you have no worth as a person, so i think while he did want to get away from voldemort and was disgusted by horcruxes, a significant motivation of his was to die in a way that wouldn’t be considered shameful. there seems to be a lot of self-hatred involved in the way he died as well? which was essentially erasing himself. he told kreacher to conceal what happened. he just disappeared, and anyone trying to understand it could do nothing but take their best guess. they couldn’t even bury his body. like oh my GOD.

tbf it was minifridge/microwave + some of my roommate's stuff but also i did a lot of sadshopping my first year of college on account of how sad i(t) was

yeah im a big believer in retail therapy tbh i had like four garbage bags full of clothes by the end of the year and i brought one to start with plus whatever was in my closet that my mother brought over ((she brought ?? my whole closet ?? every clothe))

i moved in via bus w/3 suitcases and filled an entire suv upon my return.

this is so true though like i swear i moved in with two car trips and moved out with at least three and a half
