Noctis looked up at the other student, sighing and shrugging. “I don’t really know. I mean. You seem pretty cool to me? I keep losing house points because I roll my eyes too much. But I’m pretty sure the Professors would rather me roll my eyes than say what I’m thinking,” the young Slytherin sighed.
He found it particularly irritating. But it was nice to commiserate with someone else on occasion.
He snorted, “probably,” he agreed. He ignored the slight warmth at being called “cool.” He chuckled giving the other boy a light and amiable nudge. “You know, my house is pretty sure all you guys are sarcastic assholes,” he grinned, “but i also happen to think most of them are full of shit. You seem pretty cool yourself.” He extended his hand, red lining of his robes shimmering slightly as it caught light from the open castle windows, “name’s Libertus by the way.”
He glanced back at the teacher’s retreating back... And at the slightly disfigured student-- another Gryffindor-- they were taking to the hospital wing. He made a face, “for crying out loud, he didn’t even actually grow horns,” he looked almost sheepish, “I guess I never really got the hand of that hex.” He laughed, “looked more like someone had glued almonds to their forehead--” he mimed this with his index fingers, chortling.
