Historic Belmead Monastery and School - Powhatan, Virginia, June 2017: 

We went back to Belmead last weekend with my dad for a Father’s Day urban exploring trip. Unfortunately, the rumors are true: the  mansion is all boarded up and the nuns have moved out. However, two of them still live in one of the smaller houses on the property, and Sister Emma was kind enough to talk to us and fill us in on the current status of the property. We’re all hoping that whatever happens to it, that it’s preserved in the most appropriate way possible. We also visited the old garage underneath the equestrian ring. This place still feels magical.
