Okay it depends on which house I’m at, but for the past 6 months or more I’ve been having a plain bagel with cream cheese at Dad’s, and two English muffins with strawberry jam at Mum’s.

Nico and Umi met when they were 19/18, respectively, during college. Nico couldn’t afford a single room at the university dorms so she got stuck with some random freshman. Nico tried to be an intimidating upperclasssman so that she could bully Umi into doing stuff for her, but this failed when Umi walked in the first day to see Nico sobbing over an idol performance.
Nico spends way too much time trying to regain the upper hand in their relationship. Umi is continuously unimpressed. Umi wishes she had a less annoying roommate.
Somewhere along the line they realize they’re friends. They’re both disgusted by this.
Two years later they get an apartment together. This is also when they started dating:
Nico: So yeah, we should get an apartment together.
Umi: Why? I like the dorms.
Nico: Yeah, but we can’t have sex in the dorms.
Umi: ??????????????
(Umi is actually ace, so they don’t end up having sex. Nico is perfectly fine with it.)
They end up having a pretty mellow, stable relationship. Then Honoka shows up.
The reason for having Honoka move in was so that they could split the rent with a third person. They forgot to mention that when they accepted Honoka. Honoka doesn’t have a job.
She does make really good bread though, which is what she does for the next three months to make up for it.
Honoka’s eventual job is actually working as an idol with Nico. Umi refuses to do any sort of idol work at all, but Honoka has a great voice and gets really into it. She and Nico rise up the charts so fast that even Nico is impressed (still doesnt help their rent problem though. someone teach these kids how to budget)
About six months after moving in, Honoka sits down with Nico and has the following conversation:
Honoka: So, Nico, you’ve known Umi for a while, right?
Nico: Yeah, pretty long.
Honoka: So you’re really close, right?
Nico: ….yeah?
Honoka: Then can you give me tips on how to ask Umi out? Pretty please?
Nico locks Honoka out of the house.
Turns out Honoka is the most oblivious person ever, and despite Nico and Umi sharing a room, constantly arguing like a married couple, and leaning on each other constantly, Honoka never picked up that they were dating. Cue awkward conversation part 2:
Honoka: Wow, you guys are already dating? That’s awesome!
Nico: Why is that awesome, you have a crush on Umi and can’t date her.
Honoka: Because I have crushes on both of you, so now I don’t have to choose!
Nico: Huh, I guess that could work....... Wait, does that mean you chose Umi over me????
Honoka: uhhhhhhhhhhhh
Honoka gets locked out again.
Nico is interested in the idea though, so she talks to Umi about it. Umi is pretty hesitant at first but eventually decides that she’d like to try it, so the three of them talk about how it would work and figure out rules and stuff, and then Honoka is officially accepted into the relationship.
Honoka bakes like 10 loaves of bread in her excitement.
Everything is pretty much the same after that, aside from spontaneous cuddling from Honoka. Mostly directed towards Nico, who isn’t sure if this is a blessing or a curse.
(its a blessing. she’ll never admit it though)
The “17th attempt at making a splatter paint wall mural” from the fic refers to Honoka’s and Nico’s incessant desire for paint ball gun wars and Umi’s desire for a nice, clean apartment. Usually Honoka and Nico take the paint ball guns outside. Sometimes they grab them instead of nerf guns and have to spend the rest of the afternoon repainting walls.
Buying paint may be the biggest obstacle to having enough money for rent.

Oh gosh, this is a really awkward question I don’t really know the answer to. I guess my oldest friend is this one girl named Haley from my elementary school since 1st grade? Anyways, I went to a different middle school and now she attends the same high school that I do. But everything is still awkward and one time she was with her friends at a movie theater, and coincidentally, my family and her friends were watching the same movie. She invited me to go along with her, but I ended up sitting and watching the movie alone because there weren’t any seats left for the whole group. I don’t really know if I can call her my oldest friend, but I’ll just say it for the sake of answering this ask.

Yes and no? Like I believe that the concept of being attracted to someone at first sight is a thing, but I’ve never experienced love at first sight. I hope that answers your question ;-;
