Pedro sent a message to his brother, Lucas:
"You are my inspiration"
The Chilean actor who stars in "Narcos" dedicated heartfelt words to the youngest of his own and who will also participate in the third season of the Netflix series.
Lucas Balmaceda is the smallest of the clan to which the Chilean actor Pedro Pascal belongs , recognized for his role in "Game Of Thrones" and for being one of the protagonists of "Narcos", a series that premieres its third season on Netflix.
The 25-year-old arrived at the Ciudadano ADN and left explaining that his brother uses his mother's last name because "it is easier to write and say" for the North American market, and then he launched into talking about his own career, which began in television and no less than in the series "Los 80", where he played Axel, a troubled young man who brought intense moments to Felix, the youngest son of the remembered Herrera.
"It was my first experience on TV. It was incredible but I panicked because everyone knew each other and I had a lot of pressure on me", confessed Balmaceda, who faced the role, understanding that "within each rebel there is a child who seeks love".
After appearances in "Juana Brava", "20añero a los 40" and in the cinema in "Prueba de Actitud", in addition to her leading role in the play "La Noche Obstinada", she can currently be seen in "Tebas Land" in the GAM Cultural Center, a work that deals with the decision to kill his father.
"The act of acting is very symbolic of killing the father, because it is to catapult your interior out beyond all the formalities", he illustrated on how he faces the montage, which will last until August 26.
Upon landing in "Narcos", Balmaceda related that it all started with Pedro Pascal reviewing the scripts for the new season with Eric Newman, one of the creators of the series. When he described to Pascal a new character they needed for the new cycle, he felt he was talking about his own brother, to whom he suggested. After sending a video showing his work and trying a scene, they told him "we liked you and you have to travel in five days", he recreated.
And after this, a surprising moment took the Citizen DNA: The actor greeted his brother from Los Angeles.
"Luquis, your big brother is talking to you. I want to congratulate for everything you are achieving. You are my inspiration and I love you with all my heart forever," Pascal declared in the middle of a cue, generating an exciting moment.
That connection and excitement comes from a strong story. "My family has gone through a lot of revolutions. I come from a very exhausting past," he said, adding that "there is no time when we do not feel what the other feels."
About his future, Lucas Balmaceda is clear. "'Narcos' is a series that is very well done and there’s been a lot of artistic quality put into it. But when you get there, there are several things that you lose when negotiating with yourself, " he said, noting that, "...one can become materialistic, and many actors happen to us. And you have to remember that does deteriorate what you do as an artist. So it's not something that worries me," he said.
