Crisis on Infinite Mirths - PPG Creator, Craig McCracken asked development team if the original Bubbles could beat up the "New One"

At the recent San Diego Comic Con showing of the new Jellystone special, one of the writers spoke to fans. Saying that they often communicated with the original creators of the series they used for the crossover, including Powerpuff Girl Creator, Craig McCracken.

On stage he said that in a note given to them by Craig, "Can you please have the original Bubbles beating up the new Bubbles somewhere?" To which they cheerfully agreed. In a chaotic fight scene, in the background they hid a part where 1998 Bubbles whacks 2016 Bubbles on the head.

Since the CN Latin America commercial, this is the 2nd time the 2016 series has been depicted in a negative light by official CN content. This time specifically requested by the series creator himself. It's understandable, a large part of why 2016 was the way it was, was because Cartoon Network didn't want to wait for Craig's contract with Disney over Wander Over Yonder to end. Going ahead without him. Craig didn't make 2016, and it's reasonable to believe that he may harbor some sour feelings for how CN handled his brainchild.

Unfortunately no clip of the scene is available online at the moment, as the only clips we have right now come from the Comic Con showing. We will likely have to wait until Jellystone: Crisis on Infinite Mirths releases on tv and streaming services to get a clip of the scene.

Any thoughts on Powerpuff Girls reboot?

Probably the first time someone’s sent me a reboot related ask, I’ve made it big chat!

Anyway it’s nothing you haven’t heard before; it’s poorly written, has shitty animation and is borderline sexist most of the time. But I’m a mojo guy so he was a major part of whether or not I liked it

I really hated his writing😭 and I always hated how the reboot PNGs of him were so commonly used they’re so ugly his reboot design makes no sense I hate his weird poncho body

The third person talk, the lack of any actual rambling, and the fact that he’s just a dumbass is something that carries over into other mojo media especially fanmade content. He did occasionally refer to himself in the third person prior to 2016, but it was sparingly and in the aku-way where it’s emphasizing their importance. Which makes sense cause they’re both pompous narcissistic characters. But in 2016 it’s just genuine caveman talk. I also just miss his rambling because his writing being dumbed down in any way makes me sad

His animation sucks really bad like worse than the girls, but some frames are cute and I wouldn’t be opposed to making one a pfp or two. The 2016 comics also make him look nice but I’ve addressed that before so I won’t go too deep into that

He appears so frequently just for jokes and it feels like edging lol. Fly-pow-bye has old reviews of each 2016 episode and I recommend checking those out if you want like specific examples of how frequently it happens but it’s a lot man

Now that I think about it, any criticism I have towards modern mojo writing could be tied back to 2016 mojo! Ain’t that funny

Idk what yall think but i think they reboot HAD potential, they just didn't wanted it to be more. They just needed easy money and what seals more than a cartoon for little gilrs with vibrant colors. I swear if at that time CN wasnt already ruining it all for their cartoons the reboot could have been better
