"Rising from the dead"

@purgatorybfs hi again!! I thought that maybe moodboard wasn't enough, so here's a poem about "Lazarus Rising" events (Dean's POV)

The strangest thing just happened to me:

I woke up in a coffin

So dark I couldn't see.

Only minutes ago

With no hope to be saved

I was in the pit.

Now I'm rising from the grave.

I am whole and I'm new,

But so is this handprint.

If only I knew

What creature's hand left it.

Most importantly – why?

I'm sure I ain't worth it

(To be brought back alive)

I must have a purpose...

I visited Bobby, I visited Sam

Their reaction, obviously, was the same:

Silver knives, splashes of water (holy of course)

When they saw I was me, to hug I was forced (not that I minded)

Back to the matter – my sudden rebirth.

Bobby said there was a woman he knows.

She is a psychic (best damn in the state)

We got back on the road – no time to hesitate.

No need to describe what was next in detail:

It was unpleasant, that's all I can say.

Oh, but we got a name – 'Castiel'

At once we decided to send him to hell (if hell's where he came from)

So, Bobby and I, we came in the barn

Covered with each and every symbol and trap that we know,

Waiting for something, something unknown.

All of a sudden, the wind started howling,

The roof – rattling and light bulbs – exploding.

Then entered a man in a trenchcoat,

It was Castiel.

Or 'an angel of the Lord' is better to say.

I didn't believe him, 'cause angels aren't real,

But no weapon worked when I tried him to kill.

He showed me his wings,

Said from grave I was raised

Because I was needed.

He asked: "You don't think you deserve to be saved"

I've been thinking about Dean, then the mirror metaphor came to me, and this happened.

Dedicated to a dear @quiet-doll! Though my main muse was Dean, you were my secondary muse because I've wanted to write something for you for a while! Hope you like it😌

Cracks all over,

Pieces missing.

Bringing bad luck to everyone in front of it.

Don't you dare to look!

All you'll feel is pain. All you'll see is pain.

And it won't be yours.

Even the gentle touch draws blood;

Sharp pieces under your skin

Leave scars in their place.

Wonder why it is broken?

Never cared for,

Ever the object of harsh hits

Aimed perfectly, always without a miss.

No need to strain yourself;

It's irreparable.

It can't be fixed.

Even beyond repair, there's still hope.

Take one piece

And breathe new life into it,

Create something fresh out of what's left intact.

Even broken things deserve a second chance.

Don’t have long

Clear as a bell, I heard him say

"I'm sorry, kid, you don't have long"

Well, I'm not stupid –

The hunter's life's not guaranteed

To last for long.

But still I hoped...

And yet, my fate's decided.

I get no say in what will happen.

The reaper soon is gonna come for me,

And I'll embrace eternity.

The other side, I hope I like you.

If it is heaven or it's hell,

Not much I care.

Just promise me one thing,

Whoever is in charge

Of our stupid little lives–

Don't take my brother, not just yet.

Give him some time for wings to spread,

Give him a chance for joy and life.

I'll meet him in the afterlife...
