Doña Atang, a once celebrated film producer from the earlier years of Filipino cinema, celebrates her one hundredth birthday. For her wish, she simply wants a reunion with all the actors and staff that she has worked with in the past.
Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. This is the 3rd year of Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino and I liked it! This year they have featured very relatable and family oriented films. The first one I have watched is Ellenya L. I think this film is funny and on point to its target audience. It tackles about the stereotypical millenial and how they navigate through lives and how our families and friends can help in going through the right path with the right attitude. Last night, I have watched Panti Sisters with 2 of my girl friends. We had a huge laugh inside the cinema like there was no tomorrow. The punch lines were not that forced. It came out naturally. But then again, there were lessons within the story line. Wish we could have more quality films likes these and more Filipino Audience to appreciate these types of films so that more and more film makers will be encouraged to watch. Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino runs ins all Metro Manila Theaters from Sep 13 to 19, 2019. Do not miss out on these very interesting films.
