Carnivals weren't at all Penn's scene, not really in the grand scheme of things, but he wouldn't let the carnival pass by without checking it out at least once. Being someone who was typically so surrounded by and focused on nature, standing amongst blinking lights and noisy machines felt so foreign, but Penn wasn't not excited to be there. In fact, Penn was actually looking forward to adventuring through the fairgrounds, to eating some greasy food, to maybe even playing some games, winning some prizes, and riding some classic carnival rides. He felt a little like a fish out of water, but he was sure that it would all turn out well.
"I'm so glad I found someone I knew in the crowd. I didn't realise it was still gonna be so busy at this time." It was never truly that hard to find someone he knew in any part of Cardinal Hill, but considering the size of the carnival, Penn knew that plenty of people from nearby towns were travelling down to join in on the festivities, too. "Thankfully there's so much to do, to play, and to eat that none of the lines are very long," Penn stopped midway through his sentence and he laughed at himself. "God, I sound so old, don't I? Being concerned about the lines of all things." He shook his head, amused, and he took another bite of his corndog.
