This piqued his interest. "No no, do continue. A Salvatore? Brother, really." He tapped his bat against his leg, giving him a face. "Which one? Can't be Stefan, Nik seems to have a claim on that one, so ... Damon? Honestly. I thought you had better taste."
Elijah slid his hands into his pockets and looked away. "I can fancy Damon if I want, I have yet to touch him or say anything towards him, and come now, brother. Least its not a Doppelganger, right?"
Kol gave Elijah a feigned pout before the smirk threatened again. "You truly are no fun, big brother."
"I just like my Salvatore in -" Whoops. He cleared his throat, walked over and whacked his younger brother upside the head. "Never said you couldn't use anything else."
"They haven't given me a reason not to," he grinned at his brother. "And they're fun to play with."
He looked over at Kol and raised his eyebrow. "Just leave the bat at home, at the very least."
"Oh, can I be there when she does?" he gave him a crooked smile and canted his head a bit, getting serious. "Hmm, really now. Good. She'll be easier to catch."
He shrugged his shoulders at his little brother, and gave him a half smile. "You truly hate everyone in Mystic Falls, don't you?"
"Good, saves me time," he said and looked at Elijah for a moment. "I'm surprised the Gilbert girl is still living. She's having one hell of a stroke of beginners luck."
He leaned back against a nearby wall and inhaled slowly. "Perhaps its merely because she has yet to come bother me yet. Although, did you hear? She turned her humanity off."
Kol couldn't resist teasing his older brother. He was so serious all of the time. "Well ... they got lucky. Won't be happening again, I can assure you."
He wiped the happy tears away from his face. "I'd certainly hope not. Jeremy is dead, as far as I know. Katerina let Silas kill him..." He cleared his throat.
Kol feigned a whine when Elijah hugged him. "Eww, you're hugging me," he teased and hugged him back. "It's good to see you. Man you should see your face though," he laughed, patting Elijah's back.
Elijah backed off and merely smiled at the teasing from his younger brother. "I can't really... help it. When I was told you'd died..." He looked a little choked up.
