she feels like a young girl again as she runs through the palace gardens.     brief,  but still polite greetings are gifted to the guards on stand as she ran by like a cloud of soft colours,  her cheeks rosy from blush but also the gleefulness she felt as she hurried to find him.     oscar had so many lessons to learn on his journey to becoming king,  not just their sessions on magic anymore  —  and whilst she might miss spending all their time together,  glinda loves the fluttering of butterflies caged within her chest that bloomed to life when she eventually reunited with him.

nearing the ever-flowering hedge maze,  the grand fountain topped with silvered poppies and lined with emerald green tiles…     she finds him,  waiting,  the very picture of the thinking man as he was no doubt lost in his own thoughts again,  how she quite often found him.     but it gives glinda chance to surprise him.     quiet footsteps and biting back her own giggles,  she carefully slips her hands around him from behind,  covering his eyes and pressing a chaste kiss to his temple as she lingered closely.     “  you seem awfully bored,  my love…   maybe we ought to up your lessons,  add some more time for work to your busy little schedule?  ”
