The reing of queerbait has ended. Shall it rest in pain
his dark materials
Finals had been strangling me for the past few weeks and I couldn't get my sht together to the point where I thought I would lose myself but this beautiful book actually held me together. Reality and societal pressure got to me too much and opening this well-crafted book is something I would be thankful for everyday; it made me forget about everything else and instantly got pulled to the sky back to the sea and to somewhere timeless, while giving me the true meaning of hope.
Chasing Sunsets by Kaye Allen is one of the best books I've ever read, something I genuinely enjoyed reading and will surely read again.
Thank you, Ms. Kaye Allen ❤ You saved me in this one.

NOW AVAILABLE!
I just saw the Magnificent Seven remake and it was amazing! I can’t recommend it enough:
- characters of color presented with respect in powerful roles
- talented African American director Antoine Fuqua
- endearing characters
- violence that isn’t over-glorified
- a character suffering from PTSD
- a woman who isn’t a romantic plot device or trophy
- an indigenous actor portraying an indigenous character that was researched
- no racial slurs
-very entertaining, engaging movie overall
I approached it thinking I would not care for it all. Pleasantly surprised :)

kay so this is the first time i do this so this might be a mess and weird but i had to say it.
Jesus, this fic was a trip, I enjoyed every second of it, every update made me giddy cause i knew i was in for something great, something that would take my mind to another world for a hot minute and keep me fantasizing about this wonderful world Dori created, and she did that so well. Idk it just sucked me right in. The characters are so amazing and well written and even though it’s 9 parts long, they feel heavy, like real people, like you would believe their situations and like you know them very well, specially with how Dori writes background, intertwined perfectly with the story and giving you the precise information to keep you hooked.
The concept, the plot, it was amazing and amazingly managed. She gave it a great direction, gave it a spin and made it work for her, and it was just wonderful to read and to feel enamoured with this story and the character’s relationships. I just really enjoyed myself from beginning to end, and Dori is such a sweet person that makes it all the better cause she’s just into this story as the readers are and talking about it with us you can just see her excited to dive into this world too and that made the story even better and better.
IDK i’m just repeating myself but anyways, i had to say it. It was a lovely fic, with a lovely ending, lovely characters and i can’t wait to read what comes next!
Also I might do these types of text for full finished fics i read as i continue on this blog cause idk, sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due and this is the best way of doing so.
I may not have any type of credit to rate this fic or anything of the sorts, but as a person who loves reading and reading AU’s and is a sucker for a good romance and great characters, Siren Song by @jaamesbbarnes is a great read, and I’d really encourage you to read it if you can! Go for a dip with Ariel and Eric, hehehe.
