This is a type of vampire I know very well since I am one. We will start off with the basics. A pranic vampire is a vampire who needs the lifeforce of other things to survive. Unlike a sanguine vampire they can get this needed energy through physical contact, emotions, electronics, energy manipulation, spells or rituals, pain, sex, body fluids, or even blood. A pranic vampire will feed off their decided manner, so they can survive. Those who are fed off may know, or have no idea depending on the situation. A pranic vampire can go to a public concert, and feed on all the emotions to be satisfied, without causing damage. No one would know or have to worry about it. There are also pranic vampires who have to watch for someone to take energy from, and choose a person to feed off. In a small amount feeding from one person is okay, but in large amounts it can be dangerous. The person fed off can start feeling depressed, lethargic, weak, pale, facing burts of headaches as well as dizziness. This can eventually lead to death, and is bad. Pranic vampires are able to target specific things, like weeds in their garden to prevent them from growing, and kill the weeds off, but I do not like that in the slightest. Pranic vampires look like anyone else, except that some have tendrils in their aura that can be used to collect the energy needed. (Not all of them, and those who can see auras sometimes are able to notice them). Pranic vampires can be helpful against relieving pain, by sensing where the pain is coming from, and feeding off said pain, relieving the injured person and helping them recover. I will not go on decided feeding techiniques, since I was one of those born to normal parents, as well as my sister, and had to learn to survive on my own. For funny parts, I had a bad habit of messing with radio signals, as well as killing battery life in electronics. I do not know the names given by those who live in covens to feeding techniques.
Wiccans, as well as some pagans are able to seal a pranic vampire’s ability to take energy, which will kill the individual if they do not find an alternate way to restore their lost energy. (But pranic vampires can also eat the wiccan’s spells and mess with them as well) Think of a normal human as a perfect bucket full of water, that is constantly being restored. Now a pranic vampire is the leaky bucket no one wants, because said bucket cannot hold that water as well as the normal bucket. How much a pranic vampire has to feed depends on how much energy they “lose”. Some can be fine with holding a phone for a few hours before the phone is “dead” and doing this only once a week. For those who have the misfortune of being a VERY leaky bucket(such as myself) have to get energy sources every 1-2 days before they start showing the signs of energy starvation)
There are some ways to make the hunger easier until you can find a source of food, like eating certain kinds of yogurt and other dairy foods. Consuming blood sausages, eating rare or medium rare meat, drinking anything red if the stomach is too delicate, as well as consuming animal organs or fruit. But these mostly help against the mental torment, or distract self until something or someone you can feed off is found. Most pranic vampires are aware of the energy around them, and can manipulate it to different degrees, which can help them know if people are distressed.
Some pranic vampires have specific things they like to eat because they love the “flavor” of the energy. It is hard to explain the taste of energy, since the flavors are nothing like flavors on the tongue. Last pranic vampires do NOT need to kill or hospitalize individuals to survive. They have to learn to limit and control themselves so that they can live a normal and healthy life. But some vampires do have a love for the supernatural and occult(not all of them). The reasons for this vary from individual to individual. My reasons are it fascinates me, relaxing, and I grew up around spirits as well as ghosts. I also have a curiosity that I hope to sate on why are vampires even born, and facing the painful agony known as the HUNGER.
