The Vampyre Community Historic Timeline

This has been a project I have been keeping under wraps for a bit. We have grown a lot of interest in when PV will make a historic resource, such as a timeline. I am happy to introduce the Vampyre Community Historic Timeline. https://www.projectvampyre.org/vc-historical-timeline

Because the timeline is such a huge project, the website has actually broken multiple times during and after its creation. We were unable to configure the mobile version, so we have provided a Google Doc version for mobile users. Other than that, it works fine on desktop. This is a temporary fix, and we expect to have the mobile version up and running within the next few months. In the meantime, we will keep users updated about any progress or changes through the awareness channel.

This is our interpretation of the VC historical timeline from 1965 to the present. Our timeline is quite long, and we have buttons you can click to view a specific era. We do not claim to have the most accurate timeline, nor are we trying to preach or take a side on a vamp-specific political view. This is purely intended to document and preserve history; we offer a historical timeline you can fact-check for most of the events. You will find links under each dated event where you can click and take you to a source that tells you more about the event. This timeline mostly covers the US VC, but we also include various dates for VC outside the US. I am working on a non-US VC timeline, so stay tuned.

As I was making this timeline, it was actually interesting to see how each VC event was connected to other organizations. You will find the rise and fall of various VC communities, collaborations, and VC figures. I want to update this timeline with events as we progress over the years to continue preserving history. I hope this resource provides new information, especially to those who are new to the VC. I crafted this resource to help members see our history and how far we have come, and to look forward to the future and how we can help the VC continue to evolve in a beneficial direction for all.

Psychic Vampirism

The lack of easily-obtainable information on vampirism that isn't tainted by inaccurate new age ideas that we're all malevolent abusers or reality TV really got to me. It was different when I first awakened, and I feel obligated to the community to share my own experiences with the hope it might help someone out there.

I'd like to say now that while I will be referring to myself as a vampire in posts on the subject, it's for the sake of brevity. I conceptualize my "vampirism" as like a condition of my energy body rather than the entirety of my self or a facet of my identity per say.

I'm as much a vampire as I am a demon, which is to say that I'm not really either of these things at all, but they come close enough in your tongue to get the general idea across. I like to start painting in broad strokes and fill in details as they come up.

What is a psychic vampire?

i've been out of touch with my witchcraft for a long time, but now i'm coming back to it by necessity. for a long time (but especially the last half-year) i've been dealing with multiple psychic vampires at my workplace: one in my immediate work group who is the most pressing, and then a few higher-ups who i don't interact with quite as much. i think this is why i've been feeling so, well, drained. i haven't been practicing my craft in part because i get home from work and have absolutely no energy to spare.

for now i'm going to need to place heavy focus on rebuilding my energy, shielding, and cutting off the spiritual ties these people have formed to me. i've never had to directly deal with people like this before so i'm a little out of my depth. i'm a very sensitive person and no matter what i do i can't help but ruminate on the negativity thrown at me. any tried & true methods or advice would be greatly appreciated!
