“So I’ve come up with a rough plan,” he says, laying out a hand drawn map in front of them. “And I really do mean rough. There’s a chance this will all end in a big mess, but it’s the best I’ve got.” He gives her a quick look before gesturing back to the map and the arrowed route included. “Which means that you’re going to have to follow my lead on this. No messing around or anything, unless you want this to fall apart.” He’d had enough experience with people who got their own ideas about how to handle situations, and it never seemed to end well for him.
