Week 3 (17th-23rd February)
Wow we are flying aren’t we?
Week 3 was now two three and a half weeks ago… what happened?
Monday, I tried to get my semester ticket, but due to a poor sleeping pattern, that didn’t happen and I arrived too late at the ticket office, which closed before 3pm that day. Instead I went to a small shop near it, where I bought some pretty random things, that is, pens and a…

IB: Ahogy téged ismerlek, sejtem a preferencia-sorrendet. Ezek szerint sikerült megtalálni a társaságod.
Tears, Beers and Goodbyes
This post is a little difficult to write, as it was my last week in Vienna before 14 wonderful hours of babies screaming on planes all the way home. I had an amazing last week in Vienna, I mean nearly every week was incredible. I can't believe the last five months of my life. It is unfathomable that it was my life.
I had a 4000 word paper to wrap up before I could live up my last week, I gave myself until we left for the zoo on Thursday morning and I successfully managed my procrastination. The zoo was awesome!! It was Brady's last day and he really wanted to go, I had a ticket for it already and Jade and Paul joined. We watched the tiger feedings...blech, I don't know how children weren't traumatized by that. The panda feedings were adorable as they kept stealing bamboo out of each others mouths. We somehow spent the most time at the goats though...don't ask.
That night I had a goodbye party, with flag signing and one final praterdome night. As it had been so hot all week, the party room was sweltering...most of the party ended up outside. It was an awesome night and definitely a good way to end the semester. :) This was the start of seeing Croatian Marijan every day before I left...worst timing to start something? We had really hit it off early, but I travelled for nearly 4 of the 8 weeks I knew him. Timing has never been on our side...but I'm happy I had some time with him. Why is Croatia so far away from Canada?
Over Friday, Saturday and Sunday was the Donauinselfest, which is a huge openair music festival with 20 or so stages for free! AMAZING...all of us girls went to see James Morrison. Afterwards, we listened to a German band that started out kinda heavy and screaming about fire but then he regressed into power love ballads. Very unexpected and wonderful.
The last weekend was spent taking pictures around Vienna, eating at the Naschmarkt and picnicking. All with undertones of "wow, this is the last time". It was a perfect last week and luckily I was too tired to get sad the last day, sleep was secondary to enjoying Vienna.
